QuickTime 2.5 provides the ability to use any Macintosh sound file as a custom instrument in a QuickTime music movie. This folder contains several Macintosh sound files that you can use as custom instruments.
To change an instrument in a QuickTime music movie to use a custom instrument, first open the QuickTime music movie in MoviePlayer. In MoviePlayer, select "Get Info" from the Movie menu. In the left pop-up select the music track. In the right pop-up select "Instruments". You will now see a list of all the instruments in the piece. You can now drag and drop any of the sound files in this folder on the name of an instrument in the "Get Info" dialog to change the instrument. When you save the movie, the custom instrument is saved with the movie. MoviePlayer will not let you add a custom instrument larger than 256k to the movie.
